How do I buy items on Auction Zone?
Winning or Buying Items on Auction Zone is 100% FREE, though you still have to pay for the item of course.
There are two ways to Win/Buy items on Auction Zone. The first is to place an “auction bid” on an item first and wait until the auction is over and a winner is declared. To bid on an item enter your highest amount you are willing to pay in the box on the right hand side of the items display page. You will be asked to confirm your username and password before the bid is processed. Auction Zone has in place a “Proxy Bidding” system where only increments of your highest bid amount will be put forward for bidding up until the amount you have stated you are willing to pay.
“Proxy Bidding” example:
You wish to bid on a pair of shoes that are currently $3.50 and are prepared to pay $8.00 for them plus postage. You enter your maximum bid as $8.00 and you become the highest bidder at $5.10. Your bid is $5.10 because the last bidder was willing to bid up to $5.00.
If your selected amount is outbidded you have the option to enter another bid until the close of auction.
The second option for buying items on Auction Zone is the ‘Buy Now’ option which confirms your intention to buy the item immediately. This option is only available if the Seller has listed the item as a ‘Buy Now’ option. You then will need to organize with the seller to pay for and receive the item. To ‘Buy Now’ simply click on the ‘Buy Now’ button on the items display page and you will be asked to confirm your username and password before the Buy Now is processed.
When an item has been sold, both the buyer(s) and seller will automatically receive an email from each other stating the item details, cost and contact detail to assist with finalizing the sale.
UPON A SALE
It is up to both the buyer and seller to contact each other when an item has sold, so the transaction can be progressed to completion. Please check your email for transaction details.
